Creation and installation of the first digital communication link in Lebanon

1982

Installation of the first passbook printer in a bank in Lebanon. Previously all passbook printers were updated on mechanical accounting machines. Banque Saradar and Credit Libanais installed later this year, 30 T79/3 Tally Saving Books Printers.

1983

 

Masterminded the first tri-lingual (Arabic, French and English) news gathering and distribution for the Ministry of Information in Lebanon

Installation of the first totally Arabic application under UNIX (Hardware and Software)

1984

Installation of over 200 MT290 Passbook Printers at Byblos Bank and Banque Saradar.

1986

First Shuttle Line Printer installed in Lebanon: Byblos Bank aquires the revolutionary MT690. (Still operational in 2005).

Development of the first hospital management system in Lebanon under Informix RDBMS at Hopital Notre-Dame des Secours. The Project included computer equipment (Motorola Unix server, PC, printers), Network equipment (Structure cabling, Data Cabinets, patch panels, Hubs, Switches, terminal/Printer Server, Modems) and Management Services for a total of 65users.

Credit Libanais purchases 6 Tally Line Printers, ranging in speed from 600 to 1400 LPM.

1992

 

Development of the first Lebanese client-server supermarket management system under Informix. Networked cash registers use the latest in POS technology, and are connected on-line to a MOTOROLA RISC 88K server.

1993

Installation of the largest computer site to-date in Lebanon. 64 terminals connected to a single MOTOROLA RISK 88K computer and operational at COSTA BITAR Shipping agency. The system routes also incoming and outgoing telex messages on three lines automatically.

1994

Installation of the first UNIX SWIFT interface at four major banks in Lebanon operating on two networked RISC servers in a hot stand-by mode under Informix-on Line with remote disk mirroring.

1996

One of the largest installation in Lebanon: Power PC Server with 64 users and a database of 31GB at Bank Saradar SAL, Installation of TurboSwift on NT at 3 banks

Byblos Bank upgrades their Passbook printers. The T5025 Tally printer is used. Over 470 Printers installed and maintained by IML.

Installation of IML Hospital Management System at Hopital Saint- Louis (Jounieh) with Computer and Networking equipment to handle over 20 users

1997

Banque Saradar upgrades their Passbook printers. Again their choice is the Tally T5025. Over 50 printers are installed this year.

Installation of IML Hospital Management System at Hopital Haddad des Soeurs du Rosaire (Achrafieh) with Computer and Networking equipment to handle over 25 users

1998

 

On-line maintenance of customer sites, using dial-up telephone lines and remote access servers.

MEA, our national carrier, installs the rugged Tally T2030 on the premises of their 80 Agents.

Installation of IML Hospital Management System at Hopital Notre-Dame de la Paix (Kobayate) and Khoury general Hospital (Zahle’) with Computer and Networking equipment to handle over 65 users

1999

Installation of Bou-Khalil Loyalty scheme, running on a dual PowerPC Motorola server, with a 12Gbyte customer database

200 Western Union branches connected to Online Money Transfer (Western Union representative in Lebanon)

Installation of the first Network appliance Caching Engine (NetCache) at Data Management, a Major ISP in Lebanon.

Installation of IML Hospital Management System at Hopital Therese (Hadath) and Hopital Libanais (Geitaoui) with Computer and Networking equipment to handle over 60 users.

Installation of IML Al Tagerä Retail Management System at SMART Supermarket (Airport Road) with Computer (Servers, PC, POS. Printers) and Networking equipment to serve over 35 computer outlets

2000

 

 

Banque Saradar installs two top of the range S80 RS6000 IBM servers in their Head Office. Each server includes six symmetrical processors and over 6 Gigabyte of RAM.

Increase the market share of Network Appliance Caching Engines: Ericsson and Lynx ISP joint the fold of satisfied users.

2001

Banque Saradar orders and installs the first Network Appliance Filers in the Lebanese Banking Sector. Total on line storage: One Terabyte. The filers are mirrored for disaster recovery.

Another major ISP in Lebanon join the fray: NetCache has two new customers: Inconet and the University of Balamand.

Banque of Lebanon and Kuwait and Cumberland Insurance and Reinsurance install the fastest shuttle line printer in the world: The Tally T6180 1800LPM Line printer.

2002

Installation of IML Hospital Management System at Beit Chabab Hospital with Computer and Networking equipment to handle over 20 users

Lebanese Canadian Bank installed over 75 Tally Printers to serve their Teller system and day to day operations.

2003

Installation of IML Hospital Management System at Clinique du Levant (Horch Tabet) with Computer and Networking equipment to handle over 50 users

2006

Byblos Bank SAL, signs with IML a contract for around 600 Passbook printers, against fierce competition.

2007

Further contracts for large quantities of specialized serial matrix printers and line printers are signed with over ten major banks in Lebanon.

Major installations of servers are undertaken, IBM and Acer leading the way.

Carla (Call Accounting and Resource Logging Application), is launched, backed with a 25 years experience in the field of Call Detail Recording.

2007

Hopital du Sacré Coeur, a major hospital in central Lebanon, signs our Imhotep Hospital Management system

2008

Carla, our Call Accounting and Resource Logging Application reaches 30 installations in Lebanon, Egypt and France.

1986

UNESCO mission to the United Arab Emirates to identify the computerization needs of the “Cultural Centre of Abu Dhabi” including libraries and archives

UNESCO mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to inspect the computerized rolling stack system of the automatic book retrieval facility installed at the “King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies” and advise on remedial work

UNESCO mission to the United Arab Emirates to define objectives and identify computerization needs for the overall management of the Ministry of Education
